The mint schedule

Ten epochs contain a combined 4,000 identities. Earlier epochs have larger allocations and lower prices. Mint price begins at 0.020 QTC and reaches 0.060 QTC in the last epoch. The schedule below uses the same policy as mining.

When the next epoch opens

An epoch advances after its whole allocation is finalized as minted. Reservations alone do not advance it. Expired unpaid claims release slots in the current epoch. Confirming payments stay held until their result is checked.

When all remaining slots are reserved, jobs may pause until a reservation expires or payment settles. Available collection supply can still include later epochs.

What you pay

  • Mining: no QTC mint debit. Hardware, electricity and any external hosting costs are yours.
  • Website login and listing messages: no network transaction fee.
  • Mint: the reservation’s epoch price plus the Quantus fee.
  • Marketplace purchase: asking price plus network fee. The 2.5% marketplace fee is included in the ask and deducted from seller proceeds.
  • Minimum account balance: retain enough QTC for Quantus account requirements.

Network fees depend on transaction size and network policy. A failed transaction can still cost a fee. Epoch prices are not all-inclusive network-fee quotes.

Difficulty and price are separate

Price is the QTC required for a valid claim. Difficulty controls expected work per proof. Shared difficulty responds to hashpower, qualifying active wallets and the epoch minimum. Participation lengthens the network target interval, with an additional multiplier capped at 16×. Paying more QTC cannot make a mining hash valid.
