Questions & troubleshooting
Direct answers for wallet, mining, payment and collection problems.

Why is Start mining disabled?
Login, supported WebGPU and collection availability are separate requirements. Signing in does not open a collection. Read Miner readiness. Test GPU can run locally before live mining opens.
Why have I not found a proof?
Search is probabilistic. Hashrate controls attempts and shared difficulty controls probability per attempt. A long session does not guarantee the next hash. Check for Searching, current jobs and measured attempts.
Will auto-lock stop mining?
Auto-lock and natural login expiry do not by themselves stop authorized mining. Its access has its own expiry. Closing Miner, navigating away or signing out stops standard browser mining. Switching tabs does not deliberately stop it. Unlock and sign in before claiming a proof.
What if five minutes pass?
An unpaid claim expires and returns its slot without granting an NFT. Mine another proof if capacity remains. A payment already confirming stays held until its finalized outcome is checked.
Why is my payment still Confirming?
Finality or its read connection may be delayed. A timeout proves neither success nor failure. Reopen status and use Retry same transaction; do not create a replacement transfer manually.
Why is finalized artwork unavailable?
Metadata must match the permit before the exact image loads. A temporary gateway error can delay display. Retry; no sample or substitute token is shown as your minted result. Ownership is separate from image loading.
Will it appear in the official wallet?
That display is not assumed. QTARDS inscriptions appear in this site’s My QTARDS after address verification. They use Quantus remarks and the QTARDS registry rather than a native NFT pallet.
Can retry charge twice?
Supported retry rebroadcasts identical signed bytes without a second payment signature. A manual transfer or custom client using a different nonce creates a different transaction and can debit QTC again.
Is minting the same as buying?
Minting begins with an accepted proof and an epoch price. Buying uses a current owner’s signed asking price for an already minted token. Both require a reviewed payment and finalized success, but have different eligibility and pricing.
Can I use another device?
Restore the same Quantus address using its original backup and settings, then verify it. The collection follows registry ownership, not a local inventory. A different derived address is a different account.
